Christians from Immanuel Presbyterian Church and Muslims from Turkey and other countries came together for the first time to break the fast of Ramadan.  This has been an ongoing relationship to promote better understanding between Muslims and Christians.

The groups were comprised of the membership of Immanuel Presbyterian Church and Muslims from Turkey.  Other nationalities were present as well as guests from other Churches.

Conversation and making relationships was the primary focus of the evening and language barriers were few.

There was an abundance of sharing about issues of faith...and general topics.

Traditionally prepared Turkish tea was prepared and topped off a fine evening of food, conversation, and sharing beliefs.

The food was incredibly delicious and a feast was provided by the Turkish group.  There was no lack and plenty left over.  Compliments to the chefs came readily and as abundant as the food provided.

A clear presentation was provided explaining Ramadan.  A video of the highlights of Turkey was presented that made all those who have never visited desirous to visit the many historic and cultural sites. 16.jpg (130218 bytes) 17.jpg (117326 bytes) 18.jpg (134492 bytes) 19.jpg (121690 bytes)
